Wanted: Food Runners and Hummus Makers!

Looking for a fun new way to start volunteering at Harvest Noon? As we gear up for our reopening in June, we’re looking for some volunteers to take on some new special volunteer roles: namely, Food Runners and Hummus Makers! Food Runners will be responsible for heading out to Kensington once a week to purchase needed kitchen items (using the cafe’s money, of course, and based on a running list to be kept at the cafe and updated independently). Hummus Makers will come in once a week to make a large batch of hummus for the next few days (based on provided recipes). Both Food Runners and Hummus Makers will be entitled to a free lunch on the days they come in, like normal volunteers. In addition, the schedule for both of these roles is much more flexible than for regular volunteering, as neither food running nor hummus making need be done during open hours (and if you come in outside of open hours, your free lunch can still be claimed at some other point).

We are looking for two Food Runners and two Hummus Makers, but are of course happy to accept more! And don’t worry if you don’t have much experience with either of these tasks—there will be plenty of training for both positions. Please email volunteers at harvestnoon dot com for more info.
Thanks!
