Volunteer Appreciation Party: Free Food/Fun Times

Since we opened our doors back in January, we’ve received an amazing amount of support from our volunteers. Indeed, they are completely to thank for keeping us up and running thus far. And now, as we take a couple weeks to recoup and reorganize, we want to give a little something back to our volunteer community: our very first Volunteer Appreciation Party!

The party will take place Tuesday, June 5th, from 4:00 to 6:00 in the café. The event will be casual and you can drop in at any time; mostly it’s just an opportunity to hang out, relax, and chat with some fellow Nooners. And since it’s us, there will also be some free food involved, of course! Indeed, the Menu Planning group will be testing out one of our new summer recipes (and a special new dessert!), so there should be plenty of good eats to go around. (And if you want to help out with food prep, or can only stop by earlier, a few of us will be cooking in the kitchen from about 2 o’clock onward.)

New volunteers are also welcome! In fact, this is a great opportunity for any new folks who are interested in volunteering to come get acquainted with our group and discover what we’re all about. So if you’ve been thinking about joining for a while, now’s your chance! (And yes, we’ll still let you have some free food.)

And finally, don’t worry if you can’t make this event––we plan on holding a few more before our grand reopening.
