This Week’s Menu: September 17th, 2012

Here’s what we got special for you this week at Harvest Noon:

Spicy Southern (Ontario) Black ‘n’ White Beans: This hearty meal is loaded with black turtle and white navy beans from Waterford, juicy tomatoes from Sovereign Farms, and fresh collard greens from our own Dig In! Campus Agriculture plots!

To celebrate the corn harvest, we’re cooking up a hearty Say (Corn) Chowder made with Thompson’s sweet corn, the New Farm’s German butterball potatoes, and LFP carrots from Hillside Garden Farms. (Note that due to Friday’s unexpected closure, this corn chowder will not be introduced on the menu until Tuesday.)

Both options are gluten free! And as always, we’ve also got:

Our signature Confetti Salad, featuring The New Farm’s premium organic salad mix, Greenbelt Farms sunflower microgreens and loaded with multi-colour carrots and flax seeds. Served with your choice of house-made maple mustard or balsamic vinaigrettes.

Our home-made breads ‘n’ bean dip. Tuesday Special! Bring home your own whole or half loaf.

Our Party Hearty muffins are made with organic rhubarb. Get them while you can, or grab a slice of our elusive Babygold Peach Cobbler and enjoy with a cup of T.A.N. coffee or Kitimai tea.
